AiS #021: Smugglers' Moon

With Toliyrath’s funeral finally out of the way, the heroes minds’ turned to Jeremiah and his ordeal in Luestiss’s watery clutches. The party resolved to rescue their friend and to retrieve the darkwood figurehead she had kept against’s Jeremiah’s “attentions”. Laying their plans in the common room off the Orc’s Head the party sent word to Taneli that they would depart tomorrow on the morning tide.

10 Trivial Choices to Death

We sadly had the first death in my Adventures in Shadow campaign recently (in 017: Death in the Darkness). Brave Toliyrath—wizard about town and one-time rope merchant—was crushed and burnt to death by a crystal ooze in the sunken tunnels below the ruined village of Greystone. His death was entirely avoidable and pointless.

AiS #005: Poison Most Foul

At the end of the last session, we left our heroes deep in the caves below Greystone. One of their number—Goldogrin—was (again) badly injured and so the party decided to retreat to Languard for rest.

Their journey to the comparative safety of Languard was without notable incident and soon they were ensconced in the common room of the Orc’s Head. Although near death, Goldogrin insisted on helping the party count the loot before he was helped to his bed.

At the end of the last session, we left our heroes in Languard resting after their initial exploration of Greystone’s forlorn ruins. Goldogrin had been badly hurt during the expedition and so needed much rest.

Meanwhile, the rest of the party spent a few days selling their loot and re-equipping themselves for their next trip north across the bay.

AiS #003: Grasping Claws of Death

At the end of the last session, we left out heroes deciding what to do about a small pack of feral ghouls they had trapped behind a stout iron-banded oak door deep in the depths of a subterranean forge.

After a short talk, the party decided to set matters to their own advantage before destroying the ghouls. They dragged a heavy anvil over to just in front of the door positioning it so the ghouls wouldn’t be able to get out, but the adventurers would be able to shoot arrows and suchlike through the gap.
